Hi to all,

I am in need of some help and ideas with some kinda strange behaviour from a pedal here, a Bogner Burnley.

It works, but..not really.
When I plug a guitar in, turning the guitar volume pot to 10 results in a very gated intermittent, crackling on/off spitty sound. Getting down to « 8 » or so on dial, it works better (but not that well). Getting lower to say, « 5 », it doesn’t work anymore. When it works, the three potentiometers work nice.
This has been done with many different guitars, chords / jacks, and various 9v power supplies.
I made some videos, but don’t know how to load them. Maybe on youtube with a link?

Here are pictures of the pedal :

Do someone has any idea ?

I believe something is wrong with the input stage.
Anyway, it'll require careful degooping.

Yes, that is my understanding too.
I can remove the black circuit cover with a dremel, the pedal is not under warranty.

Be careful, there should be some sort of goopy compound inside, which can be very difficult to remove without damaging the components. Solvents (mostly IPA) and heat gun (around 200C) may help.
