Shin-ei Companion FY-2 Fuzz - original tracer layout
Yes, that is what I tried to say ... the Shin Ei fuzz pot looks somewhat like the Bender's trimpot ... So that means that the Shin Ei fuzz control is actually a feedback control ... Would it than make more sense (as in; more effect on fuzz sound) to wire it as a series resistor as the trim pot in the Bender?
I built one,and was also dissapointed with the fuzz knob.I took the wire from the fuzz pot that feedbacks thru a cap to the first tranny, and wired it back to the fuzz pot itself.Like a pot wired for variable resistance(a la trim pots, etc).Much better! It goes from warm to biting with real range
Maybe the next 25 years won't go by so fast, when my soul is free at last
Sorry, got it wrong. The middle lug of the fuzz pot, with the 0.0022uf cap, goes right after the 0.001uf cap,on top of the 15k resistor

can you post a drawing of this on a schematic? I don't get how that would work cos then the 2200pF cap would go nowhere.
