For this one I've had many requests, sorry for the long delay Boris) and since I'm off next week here's something to chew on.

Which one was that again? This one, the pedal aiming for the title "biggest off em all"

and http://www.dirk-hendrik.com/images/keio_inside.jpg

I'll post the PCB layout next week, including component placement. Here's the schem for a warmup:

Thanks laddie. Knew I could count on you

Other than that, I had to. The thing is really acting up weird. Poor contacts, cracking wiring, name em. Drawing up a schem is step one in a full overhaul.
Sorry. Plain out of planes.

Thanks Dirk! Thats a weird one, especially the wah/singing. No wonder they called it 'synthesizer', its like 8 pedals in one.

Very interesting project, Dirk! Thanks a lot for it!
I will give it a try as soon as you will post the PCB...:)

Thanks very much, Dirk!

Hmmm, guess it's so rare no body has even demoed one on youtube. The Jacques "Singing Geisha" is supposed to be a clone, but can't find a sample of one of those either.

Nice job Dirk, thank you! I've never seen or much less heard one of the puppies so it'll
be a fun project to put one together. Does anyone see obsolete parts that may make
the BOM a bitch to fill?

Why "Traveler" I wonder? Or am I confusing a sojourner [i.e. Kwai Chang Kane] with the treadle action? :hmmm:

I assume the posted PCB layout is the origional? If so, I see some differences between the schematic and the layout.

1) R13 (47k) and R14 (68k) are switched from the schematic to the layout. Which is correct?

2) R1 is 100k on the layout, 1M on the schematic. Which is correct?

3) R26 is 2k2 on the layout, 47k on the schematic. Which is correct?

4) Pads 4 and 6 (counting from the left on the layout) are not connected on the layout, they are on the schematic. Are the the two points connected with a wire on the actual unit?

I'm ready to build this as soon as I know the correct values. I'll assume that generic NPN and PNP transistors will work as long as the pins are connected correctly.

Thanks for the attention.

I couldn't wait so I built this. I used the values on the layout, not the schematic, subbed the transistors with other 2SC and 2SB units and guessed a bit on the wiring of the switches and pots.

The fuzz works, the wah works, the bypass works, the Traveller works (seems to just be a passive volume control that operates when the fuzz is bypassed) but the singing does nothing.

Operating the Singing switch just seems to switch the wah in and out. Neither the Peak nor Singing pots have any effect in either position of the Singing switch. R19 (trimmer) affects the resonance of the wah.

I've experimented a bit with the wiring of the wah pot and the Singing switch with no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?
