I can mail you a schem of the tube-circuit, if you have any interest.

Tube supply voltage = 230VDC

Agree strongly, but would like to see how it works on MUCH lower operating voltages, also the massive filtering on the output totally ruins the sparkle - no wonder many reviewers find it DARK sounding

DARK sounding
Mesa signature tone
I would get rid of that filtering section too... just to hear it's pureness after the tone stack and probably stick a good 'ol "presence" cap.
Maybe a - feedback loop ?!!
It's looks like they saved a mid pot with that filtering section...

Btw.. the 0.047uf coupling after V1B can be removed ...then reduce the 0.001uf to 560pf ~ 470pf along with the coupled resistor to ~470k.
Just my taste ...

bajaman, did you double check the schematics (at schematicsheaven)?
http://www.schematicheaven.com/effects/ ... rocket.pdf

I have assemble a board using this schematics and found the sound to be harsh.
Do not clean up well at low gain settings?

I have probe at the pin6 of V2B, and found it to be too high?
The bias of this stage seems not good?
The 33K at the pin8 isn't too high value?

thanks

Christian

Hello,

I found a guy on a forum that has assembled this. Apparently, there is a small mistake on the schematic. Here's the link: http://translate.google.fr/translate?hl ... =en&u=http% 3A% 2F% 2Fforum.7strings.ru% 3ft% 3D1358% 2Fviewtopic.php

All those links to Schematic Heaven don't seem to work either Bajaman, I have a feeling that Schematic Heaven is down.... :hmmm:

Schematic Heaven NEWS

Some of you may have noticed the recent site outages... It seems we've become a victim of
our own success in getting the word out to techs around the world that there's a FREE
resource for schematics that is, and continues to be, a non-profit site supported by
individual donations of schematics from around the world.

Due to the amount of downloading, the site has apparently been overwhelming the server
where it's currently hosted. So to comply with server limits I've had to temporarily take
a few of the larger files offline while I find a way to break them up into smaller downloads.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... Don't try to download the entire site as soon as it comes back
online over a mistaken fear that it's going to go away. Schematic Heaven is dedicated to
staying online and staying FREE for a long time to come.

Here you go!

I thought that I would do everyone a favor and find a new source for the Bottle Rocket Schematic, and here's what I came up with, hope this is of some use to you:
