Does anyone else have an opinion on handwiring a PCB version of a pedal? I'd really like to do it for kicks, but maybe I'd also get a little bit less treble loss in the circuit? Just asking.

and its also depends what value for gain pot you put in. With 1 Mega ohm pot for gain, this is realy noisy overdrive.

I just finished an initial build for one of these. By that I mean I built the PCB but its not boxed.
Initially I was using the stock values from the schems in this thread, save for the 150n which I didnt have and couldnt source easily. I found it too shrill at most of the "glass" settings. So, I read up on RG's technology of the TS article and set about making some changes. Here's what I ended up with...
Input cap - 220n
Drive - 250K
Drive filter network - 22K/1.5K/220n
Post-clipping LPF - 680/220n
Tone control filter - 220n/390
The aim was to give the pedal a little more gain without affect the frequencies which attract the clipping. This seems to have worked. There's deffo more gain now. Also I wanted to darken the pedal, hence the revised values for the filter and tone network. Now its more to my taste, perhaps a little too dark, I havent made up my mind yet.
I used the drunken dragon PCB. Its a little noisy - not osciallating but hissy. Hopefully once its boxed and shielded this will die down.
The circuit is very picky about ICs! I hated the 4558,TL072,LM353,NE5542,1458. I settled on a LM442. Immediately had a nice beffy response to it with surprising sustain. Im not usually a snob about ICs but that one really jumped out. Clearly different to the others.
Anyhoo, thats my 2c.

my guess is as this one has "more gain" (whatever that means, more volume or more distortion? pretty different idea) it uses either LEDs (more volume/headroom) or germanium diodes/only 1 silicon diode each way (more distortion). reviews should give more clue as to what the differences to the "regular" eternity are (or at least the one the schematic is based on).
"slight shift in the tone frequencies" could either mean the pot has a different value or the low-pass filter has a different cap, methinks.

And after the recent discussions on here regarding SIP8 packages, I thought I'd do a SIP8 layout to see what space I could save. Three fewer columns and one extra row, but I think more space would be saved for the people not bothered about using standy up resistors.
