nice display of the available tones. I always wanted to build one of these things, but never got around to it. Escobedo is certainly an enigma of a dude. such cool little elegant circuits. trippple fuzz is on the list, too. playing with "smoke" in hand, and that avatar is worth the price of admission alone!

my pleasure, bro, i'm glad i could help spread the word about this amazing pedal.

it sounds AWESOME before an octavia!!!! and loves having a fuzz in front of it...makes it sound a lot like an analog synth.

i think this is escobedo's coolest circuit, definitely. i really wanna make a wobbletron, i built it three times but just can't make it work.

but the uglyface's true beauty is it's incredible versatility...i'm still finding new possibilities with it!

glad you enjoyed the demo...rock on!

Build the bigfoot magnavibe instead: it's pretty much the same circuit but with an ldr/led instead of the third transistor. I did a layout for it and it's verified, sounds great.

Gonna build me an uglyface after watching that demo btw, great stuff!

Really *really* nice demo. :applause:

The "chirp" sounds on the attack are very synthy. Contrary to the name, the neck pup octave effect was beautiful, really beautiful timbres there.

I want to build this now. Escobedo is a genius.

Try the tripple fuzz if you get a chance. It's a lot of fun too.

I saw the video and I think I need to build one of these into a wah enclosure with the threshold knob on the expression pedal. that would make the noisy side of this pedal totally usable in a band.

you may have better luck with the frequency or sensitivity, the threshold only sets the point at which the oscillator overpowers the guitar signal.

Hi,
The cmos 555 use is a myth or is real ? Why?

other than cmos 555's don't seem to work with audio, i've built a couple things with them now, and only the cmos chips seem to actually work.

I had my heart set on building PWM (breadboarded one and loved it), but now I want an Uglyface. I guess I have to build both ;) ...in the same enclosure!?
