Hot Rodded Honey Bee

Sounds great.
Zara is a beauty by the way.
2 questions:
1) Do you think the low gain sound is as good as the original, or is it pretty close?
2) Are you packing lil59's or jbjr's in that strat?
Is the original honeybee that thick? or is the hot rod version just getting more bass response as the gain is increased?
Thanks for the pedal. You are an artist, my friend. I love what you do. everytime. Loved your mod to the fire red fizz. That made a great BMP better.

I have a first version of the PCB finished. but i want to tidy it up and make some adjustments! Sorry for the delay...have exams next week so have been a bit busy!

This is a preview of the PCB i've done up for this. This is the layout. i might adjust trace sizes before i post the PCB transfer. Traces could probably be a lil thicker and maybe more isolation between traces.
This is my first PCB contribution so would welcome feedback! EDIT: PS. I also added the option to bypass the First jfet stage as you mentioned! Beside the R1 input impedance resistor there are pads to add an SPST to bypass straight to C5. i figured path of least resistance should take care of it!? Altho maybe i should change this to use an SPDT to disconnect from the Jfet stage input C1 when connecting to C5.

Give the word when this is confirmed. Your pcb looks nice. I would like to have this one.

Hi guys,
Thanks atreidesheir, sorry...haven't looked at it since the forum went down! I'm away from my computer now for a week! Dammit...if i'd looked at this earlier i could have copied the files to my memory stick before i left!
@Barcode, thanks. I might just do that when i get back to my computer! I could probably make up the PCB but wouldn't have all hte parts and would need to order some.

can't be it, only has 4 knobsCannibal wrote:compare the above schematics with this:

but hard to say unless we trace it. given that MP has the blueberry out which is kinda the same thing, it's possible that they did something similar with the Beest.
or do you smell conspiracy? couldn't blame em if they did it

No, i don't smell any conspiracy, i just think that ibodog has anticipated bearfoot adding some great features (and imho necessary) to an already good circuit.Seiche wrote:or do you smell conspiracy? couldn't blame em if they did it

Hey guis, but the VF244A have a "inverse case shape" in comparaison at this vero.Seiche wrote:Found this on my harddrive from a while back.
It's correct?
