You sure about the arrangement for D1-D4?

2 diodes in series each way is a far different sound than '3-v-1.' Not that I wouldn't use my ears and do it differently, but, a friend has a Boiling Point, that he WAS in love with (until he got a third TS-style pedal on his board) in 'plexi mode' as opposed to symmetry mode (assuming that is the LEDs). He now favors his newest TS variant (Keeley if I'm not mistaken...hahaha), but I'd like to know, even just for reference.

Anyhow, I've told him that he could sell back the expensive ones and buy cheaper ones that I'd mod for him, if he let me just see them briefly....he always gets excited by that idea in person, but hasn't followed through in bringing them by; however, I'm still curious.

Hey there. I was trying to show D1-D4 in a 3-v-1 arrangement (though maybe it wasn't drawn in an obvious manner). That's how the continuity checked out on the pedal.

Thanks

There is a schematic on the previous page. What news are you waiting on?

This is a perfect project to learn how to do both with since TS layouts already exist.

Here the TS PCB, Layout and Schematic found at a German online shop.

http://diy.musikding.de/content/view/79/8/
http://diy.musikding.de/images/stories/ ... schalt.pdf
http://www.musikding.de/product_info.ph ... drive.html

In this TS schematic the value of C4 is 47nF.
Are you sure that the values C3,C14 are 0.47uF, 0.22uF. in the RPB circuit.
If the the circuit similar to the TS, the values should be 47nF and 22nF.

It's not exactly the same as the TS, there are some mods and value changes. All everyone here is saying is you can build one on a TS board by simply making the noted changes.

I would be extremely happy if someone could make a vero layout for this :D

Did you not read the last 5 posts? Just use a TS vero layout and substitute values.

The Boiling point looked a not just clone of TS.
I am wondering if anyone find a reason why BP is higher volume out put.
I do not have one here, but I am suspecting they use common emitter circuit on both
in and out buffer section. this is the reason why yellow tantalum besides transiser (or) Fet.
A common Emitter circuit is like this, http://230nsc1.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbasees ... npnce.html
Any idea, please :D

Having nothing else to do for an hour or so I decided to do this vero layout. I haven't verified it, but let me know if you do.

That is lazyness, you should teach yourself how to build straight to vero without a layout - this is the modern "nanny world"

Just built up that vero, but haven't wired it up yet. I should know whether it is verified tomorrow.

I am pretty sure that you need to use a 20K W-taper for the tone-control, If you want it to function properly. Otherwise almost all the action tone-wise will be at the last 20 degrees of rotation towards either extreme.

Best regards.
