Here's an anonymous donation to the forum! It's a tracing of the Lovepedal - Englishman. One thing is uncertain - the wiring of that double-pole-double-throw on/off/on switch.

Here's a couple of pictures of the PCB, a schematic and a vero layout. There are some more hi-res pictures of the PCB that I can upload if people want to have a look.

Thank you for this, whoever you are!

[EDIT] The Englishman has just had some minor surgery and the diode switching is now confirmed as correct 8) (New image down at the bottom) [EDIT]

[NOTE - the diodes marked 1N9148 are actually 1N4148 or 1N914]

I believe that is supposed to read 1n4148  or 1N914! A mix of the two ;)

I've made one sound like an SLO-100  oh, and with a few tweeks it can sound just the same as a Triple Rectifier 8)

R2 should be 2.2M on the vero. Currently, 2.2k is shown.

Quick one. The 'SW' on the schematic attached to the LED, this is just running to the 3PDT switch right? That's why the 10K resistor is attached to it because it's just the normal LED for the pedal?

Apologies for the basic question but first time I have built a schematic with an SW on it.

The switch is listed as a dpdt on-off-on switch but a spdt on-off-on will do. It has nothing to do with the bypass; it just switches the clipping diode types in and out.

Hey thanks for the speedy reply But I am referring to the SW on the left side on the schematic, not the DPDT on the right, unless you are saying they are connected?

Yes, the LED on the left is the usual status on/off LED, where the positive end of the LED is connected to the +9v supply, and the negative is connected to one pole on the footswitch: The footswitch then joins the negative end of the LED to ground when the pedal is engaged. The symbol on the schematic is pointing the wrong way, however....

Hi guys, I'm new here. Great job to the one that found out how this pedal works! Did anyone get it to work yet?

I'm thinking of making this one. (it will be my first ever guitar effect project)

Thanks!

Hello, I don't understand the dpdt function in this diagram. Are there 3 positions? (1 with de 1n4148, another without diode clipping and a 3d one with the BAT) or 2 positions choosing between the two pair of diodes? In any case how is this a dpdt? for the firts possibility one would need a on 1 - off - on 2 switch and for the second possibility a spdt is enough as it has been said earlier....

thanks

BTW which are the functions of C4 and C5? if the purpose is to remove ripple from DC, C4 should be enough, isn't it?
