Ok, you got your soldering iron and nothing is going to hold you back, but you have no clue where to start or what to build. There were others before you with the same questions... read them first.

Looking at the tag board layout on the thread you posted...My soldering is a bit hap=hazaed to that amount of work on vero.. What does the line mean were are r3 joins the cap????

On Sinner's tagboard layout, R3 connects the base of Q1 to ground: Also connected to this ground point is an electrolytic cap and a green wire that goes to one of the lugs of the 5k trimmer that is mounted in the centre of the tagboard.
