Here's a fuzz I have come up with - The Flying Guillotine Fuzz
It's based around Joe Davissons Diode Compression op amp.
But I took the input section and tonestack / output section from a Big Muff.

Cool, man! Sounds really good!

Loved the movie trailer clip! I'm going to have to seek that movie out.

Thanks :)

Yeah, check it out, it's a great movie!
It's actually a sequel to a move called One Armed Boxer.
But that one isn't great.. :)

hey freppo.

congrats on the build. am an amateur at the school of of fuzz so always interested to hear how the pros turn random bits into evil noises. gave it full headphones-on attention.

it's interesting. in a contradictory way. it's got the broadness (fat ass) of a big muff at the bottom, and it's got the tight gatey-ness (even hints of splatty) of the fuzz factory at the top. the middle seemed scooped as the bottoms and tops separated themsleves out into the two fuzz camps. and the octave is quite synthy. that's my impression anyway. but it's a curious mix of the two. mudhoney v muse.

definitely interesting to hear so thanks for posting.

good luck with your builds and will definitely check out your other creations (dummy head microphone = scary).

Yes. I used to collect old kung fu movies.

Tabbycat: thanks for commenting and the detailed sound review. You have good ears :)
I actually made this circuit for over a year ago.. but never shared it because I thought that it sounded too much like a Big Muff.
I had totally forgot about it, but found it the other day when cleaning out a drawer.. I had to listen to it and it surprised myself :P

Yes, my girlfriend thinks that the dummy head mic is very creepy too, so I had to put it in the studio

cheers
