I never saw what's inside Pickle Vibe, but is there any significant difference?
MAGICBOY VIBE - The MOST ACCURATE and righteous Uni-Vibe sounds to be had in a package this size.
Half the size of the next largest authentic sounding Vibe pedal. This is not a copy of the Uni-Vibe circuit, but rather a unique approach to generating those same lush swirling tones. Speed control on the outside with a large knob so you can turn it with your foot, intensity trim pot on the inside. The trim is a very sensitive adjustment, but once you get it dialed in to taste it's set it and forget it.

True bypass, small footprint, huge sound..Delivers on thick, lush vibe sounds straight out of the sixties. Not sure, can't find a clear shot of the "pre-smd" Pickle. I am tempted to grab the Magic Boy but price is a bit high.

Here a quote from the other forum

"i believe the lovepedal magic boy is a phase 45 with a univibe mode.
...

Exactly.
I marked in red the 6 differences between the magicboy and the Phase 45.
Quite funny, in the Magicboy PCB you can read "(C) 2004 JD Sleep"...

Interesting :hmmm:

i mean, it's ok to install a power jack, there's no problem here.
the problem is that the power jack that this guy installed is a metal cased power jack, that could easily cause electrical shorts, if it's not very well isolated from the pedal's metal enclosure.

The Magic Boy (black or white) have the same circuit with depth trimmer as the Pickle. Yes, like every pedal, they will sound a little different and not have the exact trimmer settings. We recently got a hold of the last batch of Magic Boys ever so, the Pickle Vibe is the only one currently offered. Thanks,

I guess I was more puzzled by the choice of using a snap connector after going through all the trouble of installing the jack. (fyi Seller wants $180)

Thanks for finding that thread.
