which LED-brand, LED-type as clipping diodes are recommended to get the best sound?
Hi,
it's recommended red 3mm and IC nice result with MC1458 (1458 series)- low current consumption .
With NE5532 - more curent consumption(7 X than 1458) and sound not as 1458.

Without the boost switch just since its more of a test of eagle and the fab process since I've never used either before.
Eagle said all the connections were solid so lets hope for the best.
I'll have an extra board or two, if it turns out they'll be available.
Just wanted to follow up it appears that these board work great. Left R5 off to get more gain added it in the scheme but didn't pay attention to the fact that it only functions with the boost switch.
I/O/9v/GND pads are a bit small but 22AWG solid core fits easily enough.
Zombie resurrection time! I just built the three-knob version of this and had two issues I wanted to see if someone could chime in on:
1) I would like to get more overall gain out of this, especially with the boost side off. What resistor should I adjust to give me more gain for both channels?
2) The tone control has a bit of a microphonic squeal when maxed out on the treble side. Is there a way to fix this besides just not adjusting it all the way?
