Judging by the pot date this is from around 1979. I will do a shot of the other side of the board when I get home.

I built a clone of one of these. I used to call it a dirty clean boost. Not as high gain as the Crackle-Not-Okay I recently built, which is loud-as-all-get-out ... all I have to do is switch it on and I'm boosted, volume at zero.

Just flipped the board over and it has 210 written so this is just the FetPreamp 210 in an earlier box

I have a dod fet preamp 210 grey one knob . Years ago I added a led switch and power supply. All works apart from when the power supply touches the metal case it then cuts off and power doesn't go to the pedal . Any ideas how to rewire it correctly? I tried to insulate around the power supply which didn't work great. Hope someone can help. Tried to upload photo but it 4.5mb limit is 1mb..

dc jack is probably grounding on the case?
did you connect the 9v to that pole on the dc jack?
if that's how your power source demands it, you should get a fully insulated jack.
schematic found online...

Many thanks for your replies. Sorry I'm not very good at this when you say did I conect 9v to pole on jack I'm unsure what this means. Do you mean were does the positive go from power jack go? I ve try to show this in the photos of the board... they go to second hole on the board please excuse poor soldering skills. Please see attached is this the part I need i e a insulated power jack ...thanks phil

Please don't snapshot & upload 0.5MB images that you can link too.
Get a digital multimeter and check for continuity: is the metal part that's touching the case connected to red/black/white wires?
If white is 9V+ as is the red one, they should be connected together. But the pictures don't tell anything really, we cannot tell what is connected to what.
Debugging = testing the circuit, it cannot be done by pictures alone.
if you have no skills and no multimeter, stop trying.

Hi I have a multimeter and willingness to try. I can confirm the 9v + from power supply goes where originaly the 9v+ from the battery went as shown in the schmatics. The 9v+ is not conected to the case until the power supply javk is inserted this then completes a circuit and the plus side is conrcted to the case as tested by the multi meter. I assuming this is because the power jack is metal and need a plastic one instead? Thanks
Update fitted plastic power jack and all works perfectly . Thanks for your help this is a underrated pedal I shall use it over the next few gigs and report back.

Does anyone have a picture of this board? On the solder side?
