Way Huge Supa-Puss Broken?

Howdy!
My Supa-Puss with not keep time with either the tap tempo or knob. Whatever the setting, it reverts to a rapid blinking/tempo. Changing the power supply does not seem to have an influence on it. Before I send it off to Dunlop or my computer repair guy, I'd like to take a shot at fixing it.
Please point me in the right direction!

The potentiometer is the first suspect, or a broken solder joint of it

Seems like the problem was a loose 3-pin connector from the tap f/s to the board.
Watch out for that!
