I got this pedal and LOVE it!!
Great fuzz face-ish sounds with two 2N404 transistors

Thanks for sharing.
Can you please measure the following voltage values.
At the base of Q1.
At the emitter of Q2
At the connection point between R4 and R7.

All that power supply circuit, the 1044... to get 7.0v?

MINUS 7V, so one can use the PNP setup without all the "positive ground" caveats.

Thanks.
And is FB2 ferrite? Is that what drop the voltage?

R3 (100R) and R2 (1k) make a voltage divider for the -V DC bus. If the pin 5 output of the 1044 charge pump is around -8V, this divider would drop it to around -7.2V. A ferrite bead's typical DC resistance is less than 1 ohm, so FB2 doesn't have much effect on DC voltage, it's meant to help filter AC noise.

I'll measure it tonight

Hi Bernardduur.
thanks for reading the voltage values.

That’s nice to know. Kinda sounds like a toss up as to whether you’re going to get one biased correctly though. How do they sound compared to a Tonebender MK1.5? I still use my old Smitty Pedals “Smitty Bender” mk1.5 with OC75s. I’ll never sell it but I do need a new fuzz face.
