hello everybody!
after a long time without firing up my soldering iron, i've recently decided to build a new pedal.

I would like to buy one UV-printed box this time, and i know that Tayda electronics offers this service, but i'm concerned with import-taxes and customs duties, given that around 2 years ago rules changed in the EU.

Do you guys know how much i would pay for a small order from Tayda, taxes and customs included?
OR: Is there anyone in Europe doing UV-printing service with affordable prices?

thanks a lot.

Tayda often have a DDP option which includes taxes.
Else it depends on your country (Germany is 19% for example) and what your shipping method is. If you do DHL express, then you’re paying them to process customs for you which could be costly.

Thanks, i would choose the cheapest option.
I'm in Italy anyway and import taxes are 22%.
(I don't know what a DDP option is, i will search on Google)

DDP from Tayda would be nice, however - I haven't been able to find the option on the site 🙄

Anyway,
anybody here living in the EU (preferably in Italy) who has recently ordered from Tayda?
how much did you pay? thanks!

DDP is sometimes an option. It depends on your order size, though sometimes it's just not there.
I have ordered without DDP using DHL Express to Germany, and you end up with the country tax (+19%) as well as a DHL handling fee for customs.
The handling fee depends on the number of customs category lines, you get a number of them free and then pay pre extra. I forget the exact cost but it's around €2-4 per line/category.
What this means, if you're not using DDP then just order a few types of things from Tayda. I generally only order pots because I can't find them elsewhere for the same price, maybe also enclosures if I want UV printing.
For EU, you're better off getting components from LCSC or somewhere local where tax is handled for you.

ok, i can confirm that once you add something to the cart you can see the DDP option, with DHL .
It's around 26 $, a bit high but quite ok, considering that it's a 2 to 4 days delivery with no extra-costs.

Was trying to place an order to Germany today and seems like all the shipping options are gone except for FedEx. Has anyone any experience with FedEx in terms of customs clearance?

My order has a lot of small items, I'm worried if FedEx has the same terrible practice of charging a fee per invoice-item, like DHL has.

Ciao!
Did you end up ordering enclosures from Yayda?
How much did you pay?
I'm from Italy myself and wondering if it's worth it or not

ciao!
as i wrote before, i did order from Tayda a couple of UV printed enclosures and some other stuff.
when you put some items in your basket, you can see the DDP option with DHL: it varies a bit depending on the value of your order. I paid 26$, and it includes a fast shipping (2-4 days) and all the import taxes, so you don't have to worry or pay for anyting else.
if it's worth it or not it's up to you.

note:if you exceed 150€ (order + shipping costs), you'll have to pay the customs duties as well. i don't know/remember if these custom duties are authomatically included in the DDP.

My order has a lot of small items, I'm worried if FedEx has the same terrible practice of charging a fee per invoice-item, like DHL has.
I ordered something via Fedex from Canada for the first time last year. It was a Longboard but that doesn't matter. I did not check DDP as it was not available.
The box was dropped off at my door without any hassle and I received a customs invoice from Fedex a few days later.
They payed the customs in advance and charged me with an additional service fee.
So I had to pay the customs and the German EUSt plus a service fee of 15€. The fee depends on the amount of customs and taxes: https://www.fedex.com/de-de/billing/dut ... ityurl#pay

You could also create a Fedex Billing account and hand out that account information to the seller to put that information on the box then there should be no fee.
But you have to do that of course before you order something.
You could also ask TAyda to use the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) but I don't know exactly how that works, Fedex told me that this would be an option.

I have 13 enclosures in my shopping cart just to see what it costs and only have the Fedex option but it's a steal:
13 enclosures $140 taxes included. Now I have to check the amount of the customs fee for such items...
