I think it is PHASE switch.

Hello everyone.
I'm digging up the topic 1 year and a half later.
I'm trying to copy Saruman's schematic to make a pcb with my own preamp. Has anyone succeeded with this schematic?
Are you sure about the "4x12" part?
Thank you.

Seems ok to me. It's a DPDT ON/OFF/ON switch.

Thank you very much.

I continue to trace the circuit with something equivalent for the "spread" function with allpass filters. I am moving forward but slowly because I have small arms.

i am working on a schematic, it is big but my export image is a bit crappy for the moment, sorry. There is still work to be done anyway.
It is the Saruman's schematic x2 and some allpass filters on the L track to make the "spread" fonction.
It is possible that on the Simplifier the spread is only a phase inversion on one of the two channels.

Please, is the tag "A1" common to both R and L tracks?

A1 - it's a Vref. Do you have a signle common Vr for the entire circuit?

ok, so if I understand you correctly, A1 must be common to the left and right channels.
I added another source for the symmetrical conversion following Baja's work on his "omnicab" pcb.

This is a schematic a bit too big for my small arms.
