Did you use the ICL7660SCPA?

I always use ICL7660SCPA, as Bill Finnegan have, as should you and as should everybody. The charge pump frequency is moved to 20 kHz and above with that model (I forgot the exact value), so that the whine doesn't interfere with your guitar signal.

It's safe to say that, whenever you see MAX1044 or ICL7660 specified, you should use ICL7660SCPA, only that one and nothing but.

Hi,

thanks for the voltages, I built it from the vero and just replaced the opa2134 to the TL072 for measurement reasons. All knobs at noon on 9 Volt my measures are about half on most pins:

Pin
1=2,29 Volt
2=2,19 Volt
3=2,19 Volt
4= 0,00 Volt
5= 2,85 Volt
6=4,10 Volt
7=4,10 Volt
8= 8,23 Volt

Same at the transistors (2n7000) all pins have between 2,5 and 2,9 Volts

The sound ist very, very muddy not really playable. Can someone help me on that?

Thanks

Hey guys!

I'm trying to work the schematic given at [http://revolutiondeux.blogspot.com/2012 ... r-ocd.html] - into a clear drawing (practicing in KICAD) - but the hand drawn schematic is giving me issues :(

Can someone who's made the board check my schematic for me please? I've swapped the trim pots for potentiometers as per some of the other posts here.

Cheers
Darren

I scrutinized that circuit and I found a few very interesting things. Maybe of use to you.
I called it the "Grübelzwang Overdrive". This is a German word for one of the facets of the OCD syndrom. I find this word hilarious. You'll find it on my web pages.
