Hello , :D

As you can see i am new to this forum , but i have been with the idea of making myself a Fuzz Factory DIY pedal for a long time. I will be following this ( http://membres.multimania.fr/davpseudo/ffactorx.htm ) and I have some things i would like someone to help me with.

First off , here's my shopping cart so far :

Image

Total Price : €12,75

I would like anyone with experience to check it and see if its all good , since its my first build i dont want to screw it up

Now the more important ones :

- I will be purchasing some AC128 , but which HFe should i Choose ? Should i go for the middle ? Highest ?

- The capacitors ( Condesateurs ) , The Electrolytics are Radial Standard ? Or Bipolar ? or any other kind ?

- Also i Cannot find some 100nF ceramic capacitor , is there alternatives in film foil ? or any other ? if so , what brand should i get ?

I would deeply appreciate if you could link to http://www.banzaimusic.com and check at least the capacitors since i dont have anyone to help me with those.

100nf I'd def go for a Film cap; they come in little 5mm spaced boxes.

Standard electrlytics are polarized radial, for our purposes 16 or 25v.

One more thing to note: you WILL cock this up and order something wrong. Prepare yourself for this fact now (although asking was a good start :) )

Do you not fancy a 9V 2.1mm socket for powering from a power supply? Do you have a case? Are you building on a PCB, veroboard, perfboard?

Well thank you for advising me that Capacitor :D , i will be looking for the electrlytics now , a friend which is electrician will help me with the montage of this tough he said for me to get all the pieces that i needed , and he would help me with the soldering.

I dont want to loose money , so this needs to work , it will be mounted on a perfboard i guess ( those with holes in it ), and the case will either be Blue acrilic ( in this case with a LED inside ) or aluminum ( probably without the LED ).

Hey did you check all the other components according to the list ? thats what im most afraid of , if any item is wrong i'd rather if someone could check this for me.

Edit : What do you think of these for the 10uf http://www.banzaimusic.com/10uF-63V-Radial.html ? are they the right kind ?

I'd suggest going with a better 9v battery snap - the T style usually work better when the battery is loaded on its narrow side, and it's worth a few pennies more to get a molded plastic termination instead of the soft one shwon.
