I have the starving tube version that is basically a rehoused Tube Driver, not the newer solid-state one. The pedal powers up and signal passes through in bypass, but the footswitch doesn't engage the pedal. From what I understand, it's a momentary switch that operates FET switching. I had a feeling that was the case and then I read through this thread: http://music-electronics-forum.com/show ... php?t=1553

Here are my questions:
- Could I just replace the existing switch with another momentary or are there specifications I should try to find first?
- How is the bypass on this pedal? I could probably just TB it with the information from that thread I posted but should I?
- Does anyone have a 12AU7 they aren't using, for when I have it working?

According to the schematic postet here:

it seems to be a precurser of this:

There is a lot about the switching discussed in the mentioned thread.

Yes, but it should fit mechanically...

According to the schematic it is not truebypass, it is a (buffered) fet-switch.
- Does anyone have a 12AU7 they aren't using, for when I have it working.
As you can see in both schematics a 12AX7 (7025, ECC 83) is used in the pedal.

There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.

I opened the pedal up and examined it just now. The switch is definitely the problem. I hope I am explaining this right... when I press the button, the switch body is pushed apart by the shaft of the actuator, and no electrical contact is being made. I superglued part that was separating and let it sit for a few minutes. I plugged the pedal in and tried it again... nothing. I noticed that separation was occurring yet again on a different part of the switch body.

Thank you, Dean Markley, for using cheap-ass switches.

I do have a 3PDT I could put in there, but the hole from the existing switch is a big larger than the shaft on the 3PDT, so I'd need a couple larger washers. Goddamn.
