I am trying to keep the cable/conductor count between my pedalboard and rack as low as possible. Is there any reason I shouldn't use a 3-wire cable between my homemade A/B switch outputs at the pedalboard and my two preamp inputs back at the rack? Seems I could split the signal ground just as easily at the rack. Thanks for any help you might afford me.
One 3-wire or Two 2-wire?

I think either is fine. Hell, I've even seen pedalboard looms that send 3 lots of signal (amp and loop) and the DC down a multicore cable!
Testing, testing, won too fwee
