That page is full of inaccuracies.
I'm going to remember to grab mine out of storage soon and finally do a full CORRECT scheme of the Brat/Roadkill.

OK, I traced my original Roadkill today. I will get the schematic drawn and posted soon. Two things I can say right now: One, the existing "artist's impression" partial schematic is COMPLETELY WRONG - it isn't even close to reality. And two, this can totally be modded/reworked into a proper Rat/modded super Rat.
I will post the schematic later tonight. The "artist's impression" is totally wrong, especially the buffer and switching sections, which are 100%[/b] wrong in that drawing.

You sure those switching FET's do not have any form of reference to half vcc on their sources and drains??
Amazing the switching will work anyhow like this!

After tracing the schematic I was really surprised :
Neither the drain nor the source have an DC-connection, so the FET seems to be floating - If and how this works nobody really knows.
So my question:
Is there somebody who owns a Proco Brat or Roadkill who can report me about his experience with the FET-switching or can take some photos for comparision ?
thanks in advance,
analogguru
My tracing matches that one from soulsonic.

That is a good start, but it needs alot more than that to be like a real Rat!
I will mod mine and take lots of pictures as I do it, so we can have a tutorial.
Sweet. Get at me on Facebook or something and we can compare notes. I have this cool hammered black/silver enclosure that I want to put mine in, but I don't mind taking my time and working with a partner on it. I want it to rival... no, PUMMEL the infamous Beavis FKR.

Would anyone here mind if I just cut the bottom part of this board off with a Dremel? It's going to be in the way of the 3PDT...

I finished this guy up a while ago and passed it onto someone looking for a cheap Rat. He recorded a demo!

Old thread, but you have to realize this pedal was designed to be sold to Guitar Center for like $15. Corners were cut. Also it was competing with the DOD Grunge.
