That is WAI actually. Nevertheless, it's bad user experience, thank you for making me aware of it.

I made it so it is collapsed by default.

I used the <details> HTML element so it would work with no JavaScript. Sadly (not really  ), it will not work in Internet Explorer.
I don't really care about that, though, anyone able to hold a soldering iron without being injured and using Internet Explorer at the same time must be evil.

LATER EDIT: It could've been truncated by CSS in the old version of freestompboxes.org, but the default phpBB style also shows it whole.

Thanks a bunch, lads! I'm glad you're on it with fast actions.
Many a forum has disappeared, others are just being neglected by their mods and users.
It's good to know this one is still going strong and in capable hands.

LATER EDIT: And done. Apparently MySQL can do regex.
So, there isn't a more exhaustive solution yet? 'cos I saw these:

Did you know that
...freestompboxes.org has 42855 posts containing non-secure "http://" links?
...which link to 7764 domains (not counting subdomains)?
...also freestompboxes.org has 28014 posts containing links like http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcomme...1240801556/ (notice the three dots), which were incomplete from the get go?
Those numbers are...

A more exhaustive solution would be to change all links to https indiscriminately. But <sarcasm> given guitar people's voracious appetite for cutting edge technology </sarcasm>, I'm afraid that quite a lot of links will be broken on freestompboxes.

Meanwhile, the links get fixed on a case by case basis. Speaking of which, I fixed those above (and all others linking to the same domains).
Thank you for bringing them to my attention.

Talking about legibility prompted me to look at the contrast of FSB's pages. And sure enough, the default theme, on which the "modern" theme is based, is not quite up to snuff on that field:

Which, in turn, prompted the changes you are seeing now:

Please, let me know if I missed/misplaced anything.

Probably best to post forum problems in viewtopic.php?f=5&t=106

Sorry about that, it's probably related to the weak spambot protection. I'll try to find some time to deal with it today.

Does anyone else have this problems or heard about someone having this problem? I'd like to get a grasp of its magnitude.

LATER EDIT: after giving it some thought, it could also be a local malware issue. Could you zip one of those notifications? I'd like to have a look on it.

I'd rather not have an e-mail address in the open.

We could try to do some debugging here. If you get notifications on a GMail address, you can click on the three dots at the right of the message header (see the attached image) and either
1. choose "Download message", zip it and attach it here or to a private message.
2. choose "Show original", copy and paste it here or in a private message.

LATER EDIT: Sorry, do not post the archive or paste the contents here unless you obscured your e-mail info.

No, only did a new snapshot of the server, which was long overdue. Sadly, things got complicated on my side, hence the 14 hours blackout. Sorry about that

YouTube link in profile is wrong. My YouTube does NOT have a user/ prefix, it has only a channel/ prefix, before my YouTube channel.

This works: www.youtube.com/channel/UCXRY6s3EyLJd5n6kYztFvjg
This doesn't: www.youtube.com/user/UCXRY6s3EyLJd5n6kYztFvjg

Thanks.
