hmm... is it fixed now? It is this:

New users are put on the new fixed layout, the old prosilver has some issues. If you do not see the logo, you're on the old layout, but this can be changed from the user control panel...

Since posting that I've swapped browsers (from Chrome to Brave on Ubuntu 18.04 MATE) and it's working fine on Brave thanks.

If I need to use Chrome or Firefox in the future I'll alter the settings if necessary.

using latest update of Firefox for pc.

noticed that before login, webpage screen is at full width.

after I login, screen page shrinks (like before).
lots of white space on either side after login(?)

I overruled that style sheet for everybody now... should be fixed for once and for all...

Hey, dudes!

I hope Modman will not mind me stepping in on this one: before the update of the forum, it had only one layout ("style" in phpBB lingo) - the default "prosilver". The few modifications needed for personalization and usability - logo, full-width, and so on - were done directly in the source code. This is not recommended because the modifications would be undone by the next update, unless special care was provided.

So, because there only "prosilver" style existed, everyone's preferences were set to use it. And, of course, after the update it remained like that. But, after the update, the modifications are now done in a child of the default style, called "prosilver-fsb", which is the one set to be used by guests (i.e. not logged-in) and new (post-update) members.

The "old" (before the update) members were seeing the default "prosilver" style. And because no modifications were made to it, even the logo said "phpBB" instead of showing the Freestompboxes logo. This is now fixed, as you can see in the image.

To solve this, we applied a hard fix by setting everyone to the modified style. The problem is that we were now unable to choose a preferred style. Some might like white space and rounded corners. Also, I'm working on a slighly futuristic style that some might like and want to use

SO, to keep the ability to choose a style, I changed the style for everyone to "prosilver-fsb". For reference, this is done by deactivating "prosilver", then reactivating.

I hope that now it is OK for everyone. As always, thank you for your involvement and let us know any issue you might have in using the forum.

Yes, there is something off with embedded images, but not even all of them and it does not relate to file type... it may be a bug from the attempt to install some image viewing software... checking with Big G on this...

Nearly everything post can be thanked in the "General Area" excepting those in the "Testing" and "Archive" sections, but there's nothing to be gained by allowing thanks there.

The missing image it's because of the same http issue. I'm searching for a more exhaustive solution.

Anyway thanks for the help: phpbb allows me to assume any user's priviliges, but this doesn't include the thanks. That is probably because the thanks functions is an extension, not an integral part of the phpbb software.

Happy to help! I can thank in the "Amps, Guitars and More" area now too! I couldn't not at the time when I made my previous post. Odd, perhaps it was an old cookie?

I deleted them all, logged in again and went to the "Stompbox Building" area. I still can't thank in the "Tag & Turretboard Layout Library" but at least I can post replies, start new threads - should it be necessary - report posts.
Then in "Stompbox Builder's FAQs & How To's" with all its subforums, something odd is going on. I can't do anything there? Can't thank, can't post a reply, can't start a new thread, can't report a post.

Also, I noticed a lot of the most recent posts in these subforums are from quite a while ago. Were some threads accidentally deleted with all the upgrades and updates?
