Hello to you,

Could someone let me know if i fit tantalum resistors, instead of classic metal ones, will really improve the sound? What difference it will make if i use 2Watts Res instead of 1/2 W ?

Thanks

I think you mean flux capacitor.

Well I learned something new. I never knew tantalum resistors existed.

I can't tell you whether using tantalum resistors will do anything for the sound, but I can tell you that for a given material, higher wattage ratings generally result in lower noise. It's a tradeoff between physical size and low noise. For musical instrument amplification, particularly stompboxes, 1/4W metal film is hard to beat. In this cramped environment, going to a higher wattage does not decrease noise enough to warrant the larger size.

I tend to use 1/2 Watt Metal Film resistors alot in my pedal builds.... :)

I couldn't buy any carbon composition resistors to use in my Fuzz Face,so I bought 1 watt carbon film types instead.... :)
