Why not a 12AU7? It should work much better at 12V than the 12AX7.

Dirk, I was wondering if you are selling PCBs for this project because, after building Bajaman's Real Tube Overdrive, I would like to build one of these for myself, but at the moment, I don't have any etchant to etch myself a PCB, I've got plenty of PCB material though, otherwise I'd etch myself a board, any help would be much appreciated.... :D

You should be able to use any tube in this project, provided that it is pin-for-pin compatible, 12AU7, 12AT7, and 12AX7 should all work fine, you'll just get different levels of tube gain.... :D

It's mounted in the base of the tube socket.

No probe etching a few but I'd be more happy if I could do 5 or more at the same time.
Would 25 euro's including drilling, cutting to suze and fluxing the thing be OK?

preps better followup throuhh PM.

Yeah, 25 Euros sounds fine to me, I'd have to convert that to Australian Dollars though, do you accept payments via Paypal Dirk?.... :D

Hmmmm...maybe a few other members would be interested in getting some PCBs for this project.... :hmmm:

I reckon it is, since the way all the controls, the led, and footswitch are laid out, looks similar to how Dirk has laid things out.... :D

Quite a nice sounding pedal, good Blues tone.... :D

I just found myself a couple of JRC4558S ICs which I could use to build a vero layout version of this project, the JRC4558S is the Single Inline version of the JRC4558, I believe... :hmmm:
