I think the patents for the Power Soak are proof that, with enough money, you can patent anything.

You won´t beleive it - I have to find it - but Sennheiser got in the 80´s a patent for using a capacitor in context with the NE570.
Edit:
OK, I found it.... here we go for the german version:
German Patent DE 31 27 595 C2
But don´t forget:
To get a patent is only the first step and relatively easy...
To defend it in a "real" court-battle and to win is another much harder step.

Rockman Guitar Compressor -schematic?

Hi!
Does anybody have the schematic diagram of Rockman Guitar Compressor? It´s the "Rockmodule" series (½ rack unit) from 1989. I checked those links above, but I didn´t find the exact schematic.
I bought that compressor recently (as used), and now I like to modify it to suit better to my purpose.

This start long time ago, but I recently took these pictures. Not even a good picture of the solder side, but I can scan it if anyone is interested.
Greetings.

Curious once you dig , one of Tom's things references this peavey one
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4405832.pdf
which seems a variation of diodes in feedback loop [ in eastern hay ]
one could get tired [ and like me just go to sleep ] tracing all this stuff
Tom had the auto tuner idea waay back ?

that looks like hard clippers to ground with some filtering before it. the diodes aren't in the loop.
