Hope almost everyone of the FSB members drills enclosures and PCB-s so this book will be useful!

" Explaining the features of both corded and cordless drills, this survey also contains information on updating old drills, thereby eliminating needless waste and expense. Safety, utility, and maintenance are all addressed in a cohesive, constructive, and clear manner."

Enjoy!

I second that motion, just had a read of the book and it has some info that I think is relevant to stompbox building, not only for drill presses, but also cabinet making, imagine making stompbox enclosures out of wood?,or for that matter, making wood parts for stompbox enclosures, you could use wood as the side pieces, and use sheet aluminium to make the rest of it,varnish the wood first,of course... :)

Wow!!!...is that cool or what,Greg_G... :thumbsup

Did you make that enclosure all out of wood?,what type of wood did you use?,did you apply some clear laquer to it too?.... :)

No it's a commercial one DrNomis.. a Hermida Zendrive.
He made 130 of them (I have one just because it's cool)... they're very well made - cnc machined on the inside and shielded with epoxy and paint.

Keeley also offers wooden enclosures as an option.

I'll take a gut pic when I get time.

Cool, will be interesting to see the insides of it... :)

I'm currently working on building a stripboard version of Frequencycentral's Little Angel,it just so happens that the board fits in the enclosure I wanted to use, with room to spare, but it'll be a bit of a tight fit for the battery, footswitch, and in/out sockets, but if he can squeeze it all into the case he used,I should easily be able to do the same with the one I'm using... :)

I'm going to have to come up with an original design, since I feel it is high time I contributed something original too... :)

Mictester has helped me out with sourcing a PT2399 IC... :)
