speaking of lovepedal, does anyone have a schematic of the eternity model? i like the sound of it from the clips i heard so far. any special thing going on in the circuit? or is it another TS mod?

from the video demos and soundclips i heard, the eternity is quite a good booster/overdrive.

as to what's goin on with the circuit, i really cant find anything yet. maybe someone else here can throw some info.

looks like those wires are left over from house wiring... could be used in wielding machine or industrial power tools.

It's funny - it says on the jacket that it's only 22 gauge. Of course, it also says 600v 105degree, so it's probably thick because of the heavy jacket.

Hmph, that's the kind of wire you use inside tube amps. Does he think that's where the mojo comes from? Personally, I use the wire stripped out of CAT5 cable - it works great!

i tried searching for some info about the circuit of the lovepedal eternity but came out with nothing.

i guess just few people are interested..

or maybe those people who were able to trace the schematic found out that its not worth discussing.

Sean uses a "mystery" chip. It sounded like a Cusack Screamer when I put a TL072 in it.

well that's an interesting info... now im starting to get really curious.

Try a Son of a Screamer with some symmetrical clippig and lower R2 to 3k3, R3 to 20k and C2 to 100n, R1 is 1M and C4 is 150n. R6 is 330R and C6 10uF.
That's it.

will do... if this is really the circuit, the only fun part will be finding what pedalpusher called the "mystery" chip. but based on the values that you mentioned, inserting a TL072 in it must not give so much of a bad output sound...

will check it later, a rather small circuit anyway... where did you get the info? you traced it yourself?

source of info is secret, sorry. Didn't trace it my self.

A TL072 won't sound that good in there, try a RC4558 or 1458, a 4558D is the original IC for the circuit. Another IC is offered by Lovetone as an "official alternative" , that one is an 4559D.
A TCL2262 is said to sound "fat" in there and there is a rumour that NS LF535N should produce the best sound ... lots of possibilities, have fun!

btw ... I haven't built it myself. I'm faithful to my beloved RAT ;D

i built the circuit based on tuemmueh's info...
played through it for a while... being a TS circuit, the sound is largely influenced by the combination/type of clipping diodes..

i used 1n4148, 1N34, 1n60, 1n4002, different colors of LEDs, and lots of combinations of the aforementioned diodes. (both symmetrical and assymetrical config)...

for the IC, i used 4558DD, TL082, 4580D, and RC1458.

results? ahhhmmm.. yeah, the sound came very close to the sound clips and videos of the eternity... easily notable is the "GLASS" feel of the tone knob. can get really sharp when maxed. also, the clean boost is nice. lots of "headroom" as other people refer to it.


overall, it is a modded TS. that's it. love it or hate it... now lets wait for someone to verify the circuit info above...

oh, I forgot, take 4 diodes for clipping like in the schem above. 5k for tone and 500k for volume should also be the original values, but ....
