A92 Transistor alternative?

Does anybody know what kind of alternative transistor I can use in place of an A92.
Looks like the A92 is a PNP in a TO-92 case.

That sounds like it could very well be a 2SA92 Germanium PNP transistor in a TO-92 case,if so,you may be able to use one of the following as an alternative replacement:

AF124 to AF126

AF200

2SA218 to 2SA227

Could you post a pic of the original transistor?.... :)

MPSA92 perhaps

On the nose !! :applause:

I found a couple data sheets for the A92 and it is a silicon PNP 300V Vce/Vcb, .5A, 50Mhz, Hfe 80-250 transistor.
As is an MPSA92 which is easy to find.

MPSA42 is the complement - I use these a lot - they are quite common in the higher wattage transistor power amplifiers - Motorola devices
cheers

I use them with nixies.
