Hi Everyone,
I have just finished working on my Tube Driver Pedal, finally fixed the loud buzzing issue(had to completely redesign the stripboard layout),
anyway, with no guitar plugged into the input socket, and with both the Level and Drive controls turned up full, with both eq controls set to 12:00,all
I am getting now is a hissing noise,no mains buzzing, geez this pedal is quiet...
I've uploaded some pics I've taken of my Tube Driver build.

Hi forum! Great job on all the boxes they look awesome! I have just started this project and I am about to etch the pcb myself, was just about to go buy some double sided board when I had an idea, I though about etching two seperate single sided boards, since I have plenty lying about, with the top and bottom circuits and drill each board separately then I would just glue the two together with some epoxy with the pads exactly alligned. Is this a plausable idea? Or should I just go and use the normal double sided pcb "pocket style" etch?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just mind the length of your component's legs? An IC socket won't reach the other side of the PCB as an example.ajmc0116 wrote:hen I would just glue the two together with some epoxy with the pads exactly alligned.
If it's ok, just drill two same holes on each PCB, align these, glue, and the drill the others. BUT you need to be sure that you're drilling vertically enough to have your holes centered correctly on each side... Don't know if it actually worths the hassle...

I do not understand because every man wants to complicate own life! The same circuit is possible in the single side rather than the double side.

Okay so I just finished my circuit board, now the last hurdle for me is to wire this puppy up, unfortunately I'm a little confused with what wire goes to what. I am using an external wallwart transformer so I have a power jack on my enclosure. Anyway I was wondering if any body has a wiring diagram for this project? Also I am planning on just using a 3dpt switch instead of a dpdt switch because I have one lying around, so a wiring code that corresponds with the circuit board would also be very useful.
Thanks in advance!

Personally I think that there is no such thing as a "dumb question",all questions are valid, and it is perfectly okay to ask questions, that is how we,as human beings,learn...

Okay so i did some research and i see that all you have to do is wire the outside posts of the 3DPT switch just like the DPDT switch and just omit the middle posts? Will this work? since the resistors for the LED's and the actual LEDs are in the circiut? so there is no need for middle posts? or am i missing something

Here's how I wire up a 3PDT footswitch,I use the two outer poles to do the switching in and out, like a standard DPDT footswitch, then I solder a wire to the centre lug of the middle pole, and i solder the other end of the wire to circuit ground, now,I solder a resistor to the "in" lug on the middle pole, and connect that to the cathode of the indicator led,the led's anode goes to +V.
If you decide like me to use a 3mm Blue led,try using a resistor value like 8.2k,3mm blue leds tend to be incredibly bright,so you need a higher than usual resistor value to tame the brightness,10k should work too,but haven't tried it....
