Hello all,

Merry Xmas

Does anybody over this side of the pond know where a UK source of these chips can be found? One of the big suppliers (i forget which...) sells the SMD version, but alas i am not a robot and need something more manageable.

Thanks for all the help

Regards

Oooh!

Thanks for link, i shall be using that very soon.

Is the icl7600 pin compatible with the maxx1044? I need to replace them in an existing circuit.

AFAIK, yes. But this place is your friend!

Compare the datasheets, and you'll know for sure.

The ICL7660S (note the S suffix) is functionally identical to the MAX1044, with the benefit that it will run off a slightly higher voltage. And cheaper. They go pretty cheap at Rapid Electronics in the UK.

Cool, thanks for all your help guys. I have gone with the chips from doctortweaks. I hope these mold spores will appreciate it!
