(relatively) good to hear that. I'll let you know if I find the cause.
It could help clicking on that memory bar once in a while because it will run a garbage collector and free up some memory.

Just gave the Beta version a test-run, no issues so far, all I had to do was download the latest Java Runtime Environment files, install them, and that was it, DIYLC launched straight away.... :thumbsup

Hi Bancika

Looks great and works great on first try. I have run your previus with success. Will test it a bit moore later. Good jobb.

One question - Is it possible to import drawings from previus versions? I got a blank workspace when loading a drawing I made in previus version. It reads the file and I see the file name on top but no wisual drawing/components/lines.

Just so I know if I over looked something...

Hi Bancika, here's a Vero layout I created yesterday with your latest beta release, I'm finding this release much easier to use, one question, does this release still feature the transparency control?.... :hmmm:

it should open files from the previous version without problems. Is there anything suspicious in the log (take the most recent file from log directory). If you can't read it post it here and I'll take a look.

DrNomis. Yes, double click a component and use the slider to change transparency. Now you can do it to different types of components at the same time

Hi Bancika

I have zip'ed a fil with all the log's and screen dumps for you and also supplied the drawing file from the old version (both in diy-format and as a pdf...) - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26726734/Log%20report.zip. The screen dumps are in pdf-format and there is some notes/comments supplied. Hope it helps.

For me its no big deal if it's not possible to import old versions. Just for your info and and in case there is someone else that whant this feature.

Worked a bit more with the new version and I must say I liked it - the layout, how it works, the interaction... realy neet. I did run into another strange thing, it's documented in the zip, but I could not reproduce it a second time. It could actualy be my PC doing something. Happens on PC I've been told.

Again realy great job and thanks for shairing this with us. :thumbsup

Oh, I thought you meant 3.0.8 as the previous version. This file is saved with older 2.x. Currently import is not supported from v2 (it is partially from v1), but I'm working on that.

As for the other issue, it looks like you have selected "Outline mode" which only draws component outline.

Cheers,
Bane

I'm working on preparation that will allow porting to other platforms. Android will be the next one to tackle. On the other hand I have a bunch of new components to add :hmmm:

if I'm having a problem getting it to run, would the java thing be the most likely culprit? v2 works fine.

You could try installing the latest Java Runtime Environment files and see if that fixes things, I decided to bypass things and installed the JRE files first, then installed the latest DIYLC beta, it worked properly right off the bat.... :thumbsup

Hi, I'm trying to run the latest version of DIYLC from my Mac, but unfortunately, the program crashes constantly.

Work-around for the transparency feature:
Lock Layers menu, select Component.
How are you getting the components/values displayed?
I didn't see any options for that.
