A HA....then maybe ive uncovered a Mac bug. My left and right clicks do the exact same thing. No menu pop-up for a left click, it just selects or deselects the component as usual. If I double right click it opens up the edit window like a normal double left click.

I heard that mouse clicks are different on some macs and some mice....will take a look.

As far as templates go, there are two kinds: layout templates (which are just DIY files) and component templates which are specific flavors of component. They are saved from the context menu.

Btw, can someone verify that OSX distribution works fine on their machines? I tried on one and it was fine.

I get an error saying:

Go to System Preferences, Security and Privacy and under 'Allow applications downloaded from', select anywhere or add my site

nah, its not that. I usually get that kind of message when I DL a new version from you and I approve your site when opening the .jar. This is different. Here's the message:

Image

and from an apple support site I found this:

Code: Select all

"Damaged" app. – The app has been altered by something other than the developer. This message will appear no matter the Gatekeeper option chosen.
"App name" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.
Safari downloaded this file on Date & Time from URL.
"gatekeeper" is the foreign app control, apparently.

dang, nevermind. it appears to be a mountain lion bug. If I select allow apps from anywhere then it opens fine!

can someone try the latest version, especially the OSX builld. I added screen menu support.

@sinner, I have to ask. are you sure you're doing it right? Did you see the video tutorial?
Does simple config change work. Try opening the app, changing one property in Config menu (from unchecked to checked) and restarting. It should save your config change. Templates are saved to the same location, so they should work the same as config.

tnx

I have tried all possible ways. Also saved the project file with resistor (or any other) templates I did before closing the soft. I was closing the soft in two different ways - by hitting the red button on top right corner, as well as by exit button in DIYLC. And nothing. Still cant remember any of my settings. It's getting open just like the "new version" with no user settings at all. It starts with project templates (even if I disabled "show this dialog after starts up"), no any of the component templates I created, also - always the very first thing I do with new DIYLC version is I'm switching off Sticky Points in Config menu, and also this comes back with every new DIYLC startup

Also, yeah Bane, I've seen the video ;)

sorry, had to ask :)

can you try the exact same scenario as I explained? Just one single config change, no messing with components, opening files, or anything. I want to rule out possibility of config being overwritten by mistake
tnx

No biggy, I feel like idiot anyway ;) AFAIK only I have this problem

I don't know how I should do this config change, can you explain?

just click on "Sticky points" or any other config item in the main menu. It should flip from checked to unchecked (or the other way round). That should be saved to config file automatically and be restored when you restart
tnx
