I'm looking to make my first PCB. I've seen that people use the paper made by Techniks. Are there any other brands that work, that I may find locally? - I'm in San Francisco, without having to order from Techniks directly.

I've ordered the press 'n peel from "dipmicro" on eBay and it didn't take too long for that stuff to arive to my place(even though they're from Canada and I'm in California).

And the extra week or so will give you time to buy ferrac chloride and an acid-tub (if you haven't already).

Certain photo paper works very well too and is easier to obtain and cheaper than the PNP blue.

hi, i've had huge luck with gloss photo paper (inkjet photo paper through a laser printer).

white butchers paper, gift wrapping paper, also work pretty well.

i can get press'n'peel to work for me but, i've never had too much luck with it. the percentage of stuff ups is too high for me, although others swear by it, there are less expensive and easier to get alternatives.

experiment and have fun.

ps. if you wanted me to etch a board for you i can do it for free.
