hey guys-
ive got a three knob bad stone [ second version with four 4558 opamps ] and am interested in anyones experience with swapping out the opamps to perhaps increase quality of sound.
i have tried 4 TL072s and funnily enough it sounded nice and crisp but....there seemed to be more hiss to my ears at least. this may be due to supposed increased fidelity of '72s which increased perception of high end and thus more hiss?
as there are sockets in the pedal its an easy exercise to swap out opams to see whats what.
can any of you more experienced dudes recommend any opamp in particular which may slot in well with this circuits resistor/cap values and provide an improvement in sound with no added noise?
many thanks
bob
