Is there a schem of this one some where?
A search thru google returned zilch.
It is the best *real* clean boost I ever had and would love to build a single channel into my guitar

Super easy! just run a TL072 with a max1044 chip, you could put that together in an evening with the Max apps notes or RG's notes from Geofx and just setup up a simple non inverting op-amp for a flat 20db adjustable boost with decent quality parts, you don't really need the rest of the balanced line driver for a guitar boost, so leave that off.

I know my way around tubes, but just starting out with this little black things so without a schem (yet) I won't get far

Also, my LP has a JRC072BD, which from reading here I understand it sounds diferent then the TL072. guess I'll open mine and take some pictures for the forum to try and trace.

Long time no post, but I was just reading Barber's "how to cook a tube amp" piece again and was reminded that the Launch Pad was a circuit I thought could be useful in various scenarios. But, as mentioned above (and 8 years later!) there's still no trace of a trace if you Google it. What gives? Is it that it's too simple to bother writing about on a DIY pedal forum? Or is it that Dave's one of the good guys and the Launch Pad is off limits?
I'm just surprised that such a well-regarded pedal hasn't made it into this site yet!

Please don't say I have to buy one to trace. I hate buying really simple pedals...

Heh, yes - I did come across that one while chucking various combinations of "barber launch pad schematic/circuit/guts/layout" into Google images. Not really enough for me to work with as I've no experience at tracing from pics alone.
Sorry if my previous post came across as snarky, I didn't mean it that way - I was just surprised, that's all (the SHO thread is on it's 21st page...)

I got fed up of this pedal being an unknown, so I bought one. Board pics to follow when it arrives, and then minds more spatially-aware than mine can do a trace.

Essentially a balanced line drive with 1M imp, and .047uf to 1k series on the input, 20ka pot and 10p in feedback loop of first stage of opamp, with 3k and 4.7uf to vref, 10uf caps on the outputs with 1k resistors in series to 10k output pot for each phase. Run it from a max1044 setup for 3x voltage. Stereo jack output and another jack to access or pass -phase to TRS.

The website and manual seem to say that you can use it for A/B or A+B into a BF Fender Reverb model amp, but I don't see a switch...unless it's a pull switch. What's the story?
