Can't get this one working again, so I'm going to do a full trace to help isolate the problem. :D

Removed the dual op amp and the pots so I can see the traces better.

As you can see, there are pads for a SPDT board-mounted switch under where the Tone pot sits. There are also two empty spaces on the board for caps that connect to the switch. So obviously they planned this to either have a tone pot or a tone switch. Interesting.

I'm getting GOOD at desoldering from plated through-holes. :thumbsup

Sorry about all the fiber/lint on the PCB. I used acetone to remove the last vestiges of goop, and then I rubbed it off with a towel. Didn't notice the lint until I zoomed in tight. :D

I had to take a break from this one. I got all turned around after flipping the board over 300 times and looking top-down with a flashlight shining through the bottom. 8)

Lol, you could make a photo of a strong light shing through and put that up on your computer screen.. No more flipping over.

Ignore my spelling.

Apparently you can't modify your posts if you quote someone..

The black solder mask makes this quite difficult. I'd need to hook up my high-power "work" light to make that happen. I'll get back to tracing this one soon, I just got caught up in a few other things in the meantime.

Ok cool, I'm very interested in all filter sections of all pt2399 based delays. As I'm working on reducing clock noise with four pt2399's in series.

Have you tried a second order filterLike in the belton brick? More like a cliff than a slope with some component choices

Great job going on there Culturejam, looking forward to seeing this one progress. :applause:

Cool... its interesting to hear the various uses of the 2399.

Thanks for your effort!

I was mainly tinkering with MFB filters, but I had a :slap: last night. Most of the noise comes from the summing amp. I have to switch to a non inverting configuration and use a JFET input opamp instead of the NE5532 I have there now.

i'm sorry to break balls, but, is there any progress?

that looks almost more like it was meant for a pot with a push/pull knob switch.

Nice. take your time.
i'm really interested in that tone control.

It's a momentary footswitch that toggles between either the resistance of the Repeats pot or a fixed value set for oscillation.

i was under the impression that it just took the first and third lug of the feedback pot and shorted them. i tried that in a rebote project and it yielded the same effect.

It very well could be that, as I haven't specifically traced that part of it yet. But I know the momentary switch is overriding whatever resistance is set by the Repeats pot with something lower (perhaps no resistance).

At any rate, it's an easy thing to add to just about any delay.

hi.
do you think you will extract a schematics from this sooner or later?
