i know its a tubescreamer...

i wonder what are the mods they did... Less mid hump and cleans up really nice.

Increase the .047uF cap to Vb to tase, swap the 47k resistor in series with the drive pot for a 10k, swap the drive pot for a 1M audio taper, mess with the clipping diodes until it sounds right. Not very hard to get something similar. Coincidentally, the builder and I have a mutual friend and he owns one. Maybe I should ask to borrow it? :lol:

i have been tweaking my TS808 to get the sound...

precision drive doesnt have the mid hump like ts...

The mid hump is only a result of the High Pass and Low Pass filters rolling of frequencies on either side of 720 Hz.
.. adjust them accordingly and you can have it however you like.

And once you raise the value of that .047uF cap to Vb, it goes away. :thumbsup

just modified my TS according to my liking.. But i would like how XTS did their mod.

Im missing my old silver box precision od . Im wondering if anyone know the secrets or what I could do to my Keeley mod ts9 to get there.
