that thing looks like it works really well. i'd like one, buy i can't get myself to shell out 100 bucks for a noise suppressor!!
every time i open my wallet it screams FUZZ!!!

Sorry for the late reply. If you have some pics, I would love to see them, smd or not... Haven't seen any DIY Hum debugger circuit online anywhere. Still, there is the idea that hum is better avoided than 'debugged'...

Don't remember where I read it, but rumors/guesses were it's a DSP (series of) high-Q notch filter(s) and it samples the actual mains frequency (and whatever noise may be on it) to tune it. Hence the AC power input. Sounds feasible, but why only one button for configuration when you have the flexibility of DSP?

You are correct it is DSP. my guess is it samples the signal and the signal that comes out is now sans hum.

It's DSP based so you have to buy one.
It works pretty well.
