Here's one that's been eluding us for too long.
A pretty good sounding Fuzz with some Octave / Ring Mod charactersistics.
The build quality is a bit shocking under that goop !

What possesses someone to use resistors as wire like that?

It appears to be an adaption of Tim Escobedo's Tripple Fuzz.
Easy to build and low parts count, and it sounds good... definitely worth it IMO.

Technically it's not great (I don't think mictester will be impressed  ), and I'm sure it could be improved in some areas.
The Pulldown Resistor is redundant as it's in parallel with the 5K pot.

Vero is built and tested.
I omitted the second 47uF cap on the power supply (suggest maybe adding a 0.1uF instead) and I added a protection diode..

Enjoy.

Bwah!

That should yield a net resistance of 4.975K. :slap:

Hi Greg Thanks for posting this. I looked on youtube and found only one (clip)version without a tone control.
Is the ones with the tone control a later version?

Is that 4.975 for a 'rawer sound'?

why two different large sized power rail decoupling caps? I guess I should just stop asking logical questions- there are no logical answers.
I have always been intrigued by the trippple fuzz. it was one I tried to build when I was first starting out, but never got working. I'd like to revisit that second section again sometime. I wonder, are matched transistors a factor in the sound?

He's made them both ways for a while I think.. but by all reports the Tone control is pretty useless anyway (subtle is the answer when people say they don't do much).

I don't think so.
In the de-gooped unit they measured 160 and 205.

Would anyone be willing to post the voltages for this pedal? I'm having some issues with my build... very splatty decay. Seems like it fades out really splatty then ramps up again. Maybe I'm just too unfamiliar with the way it is supposed to work.
I'm gonna hit youtube for some demos... educate my ears.

Hi Roseblood11, thanks so much for the layout. I just built this using your layout. However, all I'm getting is a very very mild overdrive out of this thing. Its so simple, and I don't really see anything wrong. Any ideas?

Kinski,

Much appreciated. I will dig it out and check those voltages.

Thanks! Much appreciated!

I did not socket the transistors. Maybe there is a faulty transistor. I've checked the board many times over and can't find anything out of place.

Dorrisant, just so you know, if you see my post above my posted voltages, my build it also not working correctly. It just a boring overdrive. So my voltages may not be the best to compare to.
