New idea for an amp project.

Regards,

I am a bedroom guitarist and long ago I am thinking to add / build a second amplifier to my equipment.

My amp now is a Fender 5E3 that I built about 6 years ago with which I am very happy, but I've always thought also that I like to get an English sound style amp, but focused to the sound of David Gilmour (Pink Floyd).

Finally, my idea at this point and taking into account the size, space and the power, would be to build a stage preamp based on the Alembic F-2B and an output stage with two EL84 tubes (20 watts max), and what I have found very interesting is one of the channels of the Mesa Boogie 20/20 that I could included everything in a combo cabinet like the Marshall 1974 with a 12 Weber speaker that would probably be from the British series too, and which would give me a new amp in almost the same dimensions as the Fender 5E3 amp.

Please what do you think of my idea?, has any Suggestion?

You might be interested in a Laney Cub12. Nice, inexpensive, Brittish.
You could even replace the speaker with a Weber Thames. Very inexpensive
way to have a Gilmour like amp for the bedroom. Of course, this will not
do at all if you wanting to build an amp. Just a suggestion if you wanted
something on the cheap (good value).

Check out a Trinity Amps Triwatt. I think kits are $600 while built amps are $1500.
