Wow. His old stuff really does suck a lot of ass. I'm glad Sean started letting somebody else do the pedal building for him.

I still laugh when I see that wire............it's like 8 gauge.

Mislabeled resistors above
Corrected with few add-ones

I just built a okko diablo, i was wondering can i use this as the boost instead of the boost that goes with the diablo?
here is the link to the layouts...thanks in advance for any input

and one more with on-board pot

So is this pretty much a SHO with a volume control on the output instead of a gain control pot on the mosfet's source?

Pretty similar, but with a High Pass filter on the output side.
A filter that's affected by the pot in parallel and potentially by the input impedance of the following device.

no offense greg, you know I love buddy

, but i just cant hit the thanks button. do we have go keep tracing these worthless lovepedal pedal POSs? it just seems like a waste of time, cuz everyone knows that ol seany can't design his way out of a paper bag without his paid engineering lackey doing the hard work. I mean, I know the guy deserves a butt raping sans reacharound, but I'd really appreciate something I'd like to play, rather than chuck against a wall. how bout an EQD Mantra or Monarch? maybe we can get that fix'd fuzz done? I mean shit, at least Zacko threw in an extra transistor when he knew the MOSFET would probably blow

. of course a 10c diode would do the trick!

I think it's a worthwhile exercise, so long as someone is interested in doing the tracing. Can't hurt.

Well mate... "we" don't have to do them.. everything I've ever traced was bought by me and traced with my time and burnt fingers, so there's no need for anyone else to do any more than glance at the thread and decide if there's any interest.
If I have something that's gooped and I intend to sell.. I'm gonna take a look inside first and share it with the forum.
Generally they're effects I already have from years gone by (as in this case), but the Karl I bought just to trace as it's a very decent sounding pedal (check out Fatback's video of the Karl on YouTube if you have any doubts).
Remember that there's no way of knowing what's inside until after the de-gooping is done, and also remember that the Eternity, COT, etc have been pretty popular projects here... so is the Superlead for that matter, and not forgetting the fun we had with the Amp 11.
Sean's builds are often shitty, but the guy does have a good ear IMO.
As far as EarthQuakeDevices.. really ?
I have no experience with them, but this doesn't impress me much:

YAFF..
The Hummingbird is a clone.. is there any evidence the others are well designed or original ?
Just a guess based on the description.. but I think you might find the basic design of the Monarch here:

please, pardon my delivery.

was a bit tipsy! there's nothing wrong with reversing anything. i guess i'm just getting really sick of lovetone. i mean, come on, no protection on the mosfet? that is absolute beginner stuff.
as far as the monarch goes, that very well could be. didn't see any trimmers, though that doesn't mean it isn't similar. i find the other two pedals very interesting, and they don't
sound like clones to me.

Lovetone ? still tipsy
It's all good bro..
A lot of the Lovepedal stuff has basic mistakes for sure, but they can often be modded/improved, or used as building blocks.
There was nothing much to this one, but it's a good sounding clean boost and there was no telling what it was until the goop was off.
Once seen, I had to share.. and tracing took all of 5 minutes.
