83) Fuzz Face germanium PNP pair, $6: After posting my last couple garage sales, so many people asked me the same question: “Would it sound good in a Fuzz Face?”…so I pulled out my Fuzz Face Tester and went through a load of germs. I carefully chose pairs that not only sounded good, but also hit the 4.5v sweet spot very near the 8.2K stock resistor. The 3 numbers following Q1/Q2 are Q1 hfe, Q2 hfe and the resistor needed to get 4.5v on Q2’s collector. I used a Peak Atlas for the hfe. p=pulled, s=shortened/clipped lug, n=unused.
