Any reason why this wouldn't work...? (corrected)

It will work, but the question is if it will sound nice. The layout will be huge with 6 LM13700 and parts....
Where is the LFO?

Hi Guys,

funny that this thread just got revived. I've been working with raindog's schematic together with the "official" one posted here recently, to create a schematic for a new pcb layout (hopefully fitting in a BB case). I was just wondering, if anyone here can think of a reason why one would NOT be able to just switch the CB4053N for a mechanical (foot)switch?. I'd probably also consider adding an option for "true bypass" to the board, as I usually have a buffer in my tuner pedal before it. Also, would there be a significant benefit of increasing the 6/12 stage switch to 2/4/6/8/10/12 switch? would it make a significant difference?

@djathey, I'd love to help, but that's waaaay to little information. Where's the rest of your schematic, what does your layout look like? All we can do with the info provided is compare your schematic to raindog's one and I'm sure you are more than capable of doing that yourself :)

Thanks,
Max

I am using this as a way to simultaneously learn eagle, while attempting to layout a multboard eurorack mf103: one board for controls/mixing et al., and one board for phase.

It's still a work in progress.

However, noticed the following: while r100 appears in 'official' schematic, I could not find an 'r100' on the actual board, so this may be extraneous.

To help me identify things, I took a gutshot photo, and added some labels for CN1, see attached.

I can see R100 on your image. It's above the resistor that is left of the red connect with the wires.

I think I've bit off more than I can chew...

If I'd be in your place, I'd try to modularize the circuit since it has so many repeated parts. Maybe even on separate pluggable PCBs with input, output and power supply pins on the connectors.

2 stacked boards now: audio and phasers, for use with 20HP eurorack (80x100mm board sizes)

Attempting to make this usable for both eurorack and stompbox, using a separate 'jacks' board: one for 3.5mm and a different one for 6.35mm (1/4"). Trying to keep all boards now within 80x100mm limits of free version of eagle, for now...

The 6.35mm (1/4") jack version.

Hope this ultimately does work...

Surely cramming all this into a tiny case is asking for trouble, safer to use a rack case and give yourself more space.

Yes, working with 0-100mv ac signals is going to be a challenge: grounding/shielding will be interesting-we'll see how it goes.

Alpha/untested version of all boards: need to rely less on autorouter.

• Utilized a 'sandwich' of 3 boards: Control, Phasers and Audio, with headers to form a kind of 'bus', to send signals between boards.
Trying to keep overall form factor small, especially for eurorack use.
• 2 interchangeable 'jacks' boards: one for eurorack (3.5mm) and one for stompbox (6.35mm; 1/4")
• Powered from either 2.1mm dc power (12vdc) or eurorack 10pin power connector (+/-12vdc).
• The voltage regulators are overkill, but I'm more or less familiar with them, so I went with what I knew.

Still need to noodle out a front panel layout...

Time to give this project some 'wiiings': have sent boards out to be made.

Who needs a protoboard, when you have a ... pc board (well, 4 boards).
