hi

i bought a 2nd hand tiny terror a few months ago, it works perfect.
i adjust the hum trimmer, but always there's a small little hum on it. i supose it's normal.

today i've open the bottom plate to see what's inside and i had a big surprise when i realize that there's a missing cap. (i compared with some internet photos)

image better than 1000 words. (hope it will help)

do i have to care about that issue? is it important the function of this cap? can i have any sonic difference?
can i try to put it by myself? is it dangerous for me or my amp?

need answers, thanks in advance.

Looking at the schematic here...

Looks like in the picture its the cap across the diode rectifiers. Its part of the filtering stage and IIRC can be used to filter out switching noise from the diodes(hiss) as well as reducing ripple voltage on the rectified signal.

It may have been that they found it unnecessary and didn't use/omitted it.
