Freekish Blues Chubb Up

This post (https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 80#p149817) from the catfight thread intrigued me. Yet, it seems that the Freekish picture is some mockup. So I got some pics of the actual outside from gearmandude´s demo:

What is fascinating is the wierd star nut on the tone switch. Very interesting...

What is amazing is that they could tighten the nut with the lockwasher (that's what a star nut is) on the outside!

I guess it kept falling off when they attempted to keep it inside the enclosure between the switch body.

Unless you kick the toggle with your boot, the nut isn't really needed. There are pots locked down on either side of it.

I guess the Freekish guys thought they were making their repackaged Joyo pedal looking all appropriately bling-y.

The Alpha Drive has Nutella goop on its board. I wonder if the Chubb Up has relish or something? Or with a name like Chubb Up, maybe they used KY For Him?

I'm thinking of buying the Joyo version of this pedal in case anyone was wondering. I'm sure we can get some kind of gut shot for the "premium" version.

The Joyo Ultimate Octave looks to be a clone of the Fulltone Ultimate Octave. Which would make the Freekish Blues version...

Thanks, I couldn´t think of that thing´s name. Yes, it appears to be on top of the obfuscating arrangement! Thats the hilarious thing. Normally we would use it between a nut and something else for an extra-tight connection. Its so obviously out of place! He must have used glue to attach it there.

It looks like their M22 Rock Crusher Distortion is similar in looks to the Joyo High Gain Distortion. I wonder what the guts to those look like

G'day, it's Wolfcom and having just received a JoYo ultimate octAve I was wondering if anyone had the mods worked out for the upspecing version breing the FB Chubb Up.

Ill get the snap out to get some shots to work out how to make here a bit more user friendly. Currently it's all a bit full on in regards to the dials, and would like to find where it's sweet sPots are.

Even if any had the JoYo, any settings that you've found fitting for a white cat with a standard maple Telecaster and a Maton MS 58RI with Humbuckers.

Interested on how we can make this better and am Interested in what can be achieved tonally with minor additions to circuits. Thanks. And this forum seems to cut the butter with a damn hot knIfe.

Which better place to start!

I'm on my phone so I can't grab pictures. But someone should definitely see what passes for a custom paint job.
