i just looked at a more recent version, first input cap is 33nF,47p ceramic disc between pins 6/7,22R on supply, 100n multilayer from V to ground near the IC,dividers are made by 47k for the diodes, the rest is 10k,elko caps 47uF.

more recent version of the box itself, or more recent version of the schem? if you have the schem, can you link/post? :thumbsup

schematic is the same, just slight different values,no big tonal changes anyway.

to be complete, this board needs a diode for reverse polarity protection, and a res/cap for supply filtering,i mentioned the values before.
Plus,a resistor from 9V for the led,optional.

to adjust the layout, I need a schematic.
I used this one. https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 20#p197137
if you want changes to the layout, please provide a verified schematic... or don't use the layout.. makes no bones to me.

I have now built this layout and it's tested as working verified. it's quite a diverse unit.. will see if I can squeeze all that hardware into a 1590a enclosure next.. eep! :whappen: :blackeye

Hi,

I find this another photo of Ecstasy, but someone know what is this marked capacitor?

answer : 100 Pf
This seems very unlikely to me that a Wima cap that size would be 100 Pf more like something Nf !

I have 220pF or 470pF Wima's bigger than 100nF, nothing strange here.

I've got some 100pf Wima caps that are that size.

Okay you convinced me ! Sorry .
I thought I knew it all , it appears I've never seen these before !
I'm only familiar with pf type caps in a much smaller housing.

Hi

One thing I don't get circuit -design wise is:

Why does every opamp and the diodes (D1,D2)get their 'own' voltage reference?

Is that really such an improvement versus one for all?

Regards JM

No, they don't need their own voltage reference, it is overkill. I would use only one voltage divider and make sure it is filtered well (you can also add a 22n poly cap in parallel with the electrolytic cap, it is even better).

Great,

So one can even reduce the part count of an already easy circuit!

Thanks Jymaze
