Ruby Twin Project.

Has this ever been done before? I never seen it. Built it today its not too bad. I needed an amp for my work bench and for jamming at midnight but the ruby just never did it for me. This one doesnt really do it for me either, but it is better. I'm going to put some other circuits in the amp so i can jam when i go camping. Probably a distortion plus and silicon fuzz face. I bet you could put some sort of phasing in it to and have it sweep across the speakers, kind of a phsudo leslie. That would be fuckin cool as shit. Also going to put a three stage tone stack on the input and a buffer or recovery stage after it. I going to use the Hywatt EQ that Phatt posted the other week and build it point to point on the pots for some mojo.
It might not work cause the ruby doesnt have much volume. Heres the schematic i drew for it. Just the basic schem at the moment i will update it as i go. I left pins 1 and 8 open because i dont like how the ruby distorts, so its just a clean amp. I'll post some pics when i get the cabinet looking a bit neater. If any one has any ideas for this project please post your thoughts.

Hey JOHNO i saw another layout here for another of those mini amps. There is even a soundclip in the thread.
I was gonna try this but never got around to it.

I built a lil'gem just for audio probing, but now I am gathering the parts for a firefly.

Thanks for the link pal but im gonna continue tinkering with this schemo.
So i was looking at Phatts schem of the hi watt stack and i think i should be able to tack it straight on the front end of the ruby twin seeing as it has a buffer and adjustable output. Well i think thats what the 100k trimmer does, adjusts the gain right? Heres the schem for it.

Here is where im at now. I ended up not having enough room in the amp for a fuzz circuit. But i might squeeze one in somewhere and put the knobs on the back panel. Also couldn't wire components to the pots, it was just too much trouble, so there is a new layout for the Phabbtone EQ. The EQ works really well with the ruby twin. I also put an input buffer before the EQ. So this is what i have in it. First, the input buffer, Phabbtone EQ , Baja trembulator and then the ruby twin, all the circuits are running at 12v.
